Company history

V-net company was founded in 2013 as a backbone carrier, utilizing the telecommunications infrastructure of partners in Russia. We were focused on the wholesale of communication services to carriers in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tadzhikistan. Network sharing agreements with several carriers in Central and Western Europe made it possible for us to become one of the leading Internet providers for telecommunications carriers. Thus, up to this day, the carriers in this region have been choosing us as the main provider of communication services in the context of continued long-term relationships.

 

2014 Points of Presence established in London, Paris and Frankfurt, which gave V-net the ability to provide services to those corporate clients, who had offices in the countries of Europe and CIS. This also helped to strengthen the relationships with carriers by expanding the range of offered services.
March 2015 V-net Point of Presence at the largest carrier site M9 in Moscow (Russian Federation) went live. Links arranged with several backbone carriers and with owners of metropolitan area networks in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg.
December 2015 the first Point of Presence in Kazakhstan (Almaty) launched, to guarantee the best technical parameters for the services in this country as well as fast response time for request processing and quick provisioning of telecommunications services via V-net network.
February 2015 with the aim to introduce voice services, we deployed switching nodes (Switch) and offered to carriers new voice traffic transit service. Not only any client could use the voice transit service, but he also could start his own related business in just two days with the provided software and switch resources.
May 2016 the total number of V-net network connected carriers, providing voice traffic transit, increased up to 80. Among the partners, there were newly established as well as largest national carriers.
June 2016 partnership agreements with carries from Eastern Europe signed. This expanded the geographic coverage of V-net telecommunications network. As a part of these agreements, a new Point of Presence was launched in Bratislava (Slovakia) in partnership with backbone carrier TurkTelecom International AT AG. As a result, our European clients got an option to provide full redundancy for the points of interconnection in Europe and could now utilize geographically dispersed routes to their clients in Asia.
2016 several agreements signed, which allowed us to offer Datacenter services in Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tadzhikistan, Germany, Great Britain, The Netherlands and China to our corporate clients and carriers. Now our clients and partners in these countries could place an order with a single provider to purchase or rent equipment, host it in the selected Datacenter and connect it to the corporate network or to the Internet.
2015 – 2016 we actively worked on increasing Europe-Asia backbone capacity and in cooperation with the partners implemented the optimal route for this direction. From that time on, we’ve had the ability to offer channel capacity with the best round-trip delay (RTD) and enhanced SLA parameters.
December 2016 Point of Presence in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan launched.
January 2017 backbone capacity Bishkek – Dushanbe deployed. Now we could meet the demands for telecommunications services of our clients and partners in Tadzhikistan.
February 2017 V-net team deployed and started supporting the first VPoP of a large global carrier in Central Asia. Besides, connectivity was established with the major telecommunications industry players in this region. The partner secured access to new markets, while its corporate clients got access to the first-class service.
March 2017 Point of Presence in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, was launched and connected to V-net network.
July 2017 agreements signed with the partners in Kazakhstan on opening a new alternative route Europe – Asia.
